Our commercial projects are entrepreneurial ventures developed by our members to help fund our life changing social projects, make money for the students involved, develop their skills as an entrepreneur and enhance their CVs.
Business Angels
Sheffield SIFE will be holding a competition amongst local manufacturing firms. The winning firm will receive free year-long consultancy from Sheffield SIFE and an investment of up to £15,000. Sheffield SIFE will be looking for firms who have been struggling from a lack of cash flow due to the credit crunch.
Ent Workshop
Sheffield SIFE's enterprise workshops are small teams of students who compete on a weekly basis to generate revenue for Sheffield SIFE and themselves. All teams are given an initial start-up fund. Teams have complete control over their idea, finances, marketing and strategy. The winning team will receive a £500 cash prize at the end!
Marketing Consult
Sheffield SIFE's marketing consultancy team work with local businesses to develop a student orientated marketing campaign. Sheffield SIFE receive commission per sale (normally 10%). We are currently working with a number of local business including: Bag It Don't Bin It, Steelers and Arden Winch & Co.
Steelers
Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team are Sheffield's most successful sports club and are Sheffield SIFE's first marketing consultancy client. We are still working with the Steelers to raise awareness and sell tickets, however this year the project is expanding as we sell the concept to other Ice Hockey team across the UK.
