Summary of School Workshops

We delivered a range of different lessons and workshops to primary, secondary and University students. In total we've worked with 624 students in two continents and adapted each of our sessions to suit the needs of the different groups.

We currently run 3 distinct workshops. Schools Culture & Partnership Program, Student Workshops and University Lectures. We will be adding an extra workshop in the next few months which will be based around a Business Simulation game.

How it Works

Schools Culture & Partnership Program

We're partnering two primary and secondary schools in Ghana with the UK, helping students to understand culture, improve their english and maths skills and develop an understanding of the global economy. Additionally, resources are delivered to the schools in Ghana. These include maths, english and other schools books, sports equipment, clothes and stationary.

Student Workshops

Following mentoring sessions with 50 students, designed to establish the students needs, we discovered that 90% of students would like to go to University but did not know how! So we decided to run a session on University and careers. These sessions covered all aspects of going to University, including: why go to University, how do I apply for University, what is University life like, University finances and advantages and dis-advantages. We also ran sessions on Career skills including alternatives to University and interview and CV skills.

University Lectures

We're partnering two primary and secondary schools in Ghana with the UK, helping students to understand culture, essential in a global economy. Additionally, resources are delivered to the schools in Ghana.

Our Impact

We've delivered a range of lessons and workshops to primary, secondary and University students. In total we've worked with 624 students in two continents and adapted each session to suit the needs of each group. Our achievements for each of the different workshops are outlined below:

Schools Culture & Partnership Program

Helped students to understand culture using our sessions.
Helped to develop the childrens English language skills.
Many resources were donated to the school such as Maths and English books.

Student Workshops

Students learnt about University life, how to get there and the advantages & disadvantages.
Explained University finances, the grants available and cost benefit ratio of University.
Through role play, students learnt about interviews, presentation skills & careers.
The children learnt about contracts and the importance of reading all they way through!

University Lectures

Ran two lectures with Engineers looking to start their own business.
Students used the lectures as part of their course and were marked on them.
Demonstrated practical financial tools and finance for business plans and finance strategies.
Lectures helped students with business plans, research, legal & start up considerations.

Business Simulation

This project is new so there are no results (yet).

The Future

Due to popular demand we will be continuing with the projects above, but in even more schools. However, we will also be adding a Business Simulation workshop to our School Workshops portfolio. This is designed to engage students with every aspect of business in a fun and interactive way.
